Baba Ijesha was denied bail by a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Yaba, Lagos despite pleading not guilty to the allegations levelled against him.
His colleague in the movie industry, Yomi Fabiyi, who has been agitating for a fair hearing and judicial process, has reacted to the decision of the court.
In a post on his Instagram page, Yomi, though indifferent about the court ruling, seemed hopeful that justice will prevail. He said:
‘When you need the definition of persecution from the unknown, ask me. But trust me, every lies has an expiry date. I can’t stop laughing here. Game On! This can never be any artist power jare. But it will be resolved, trust me.”

The case was adjourned to July 13, but with indications that it would be taken over by the High Court.
