Yomi Fabiyi Releases New Movie to Portray Baba Ijesha's Sexual Assault Saga
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi has released a new movie, ‘Oko lyabo’ based on the ongoing sexual assault case involving his colleague, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba ljesha and comedian Adekoya Damilola, known as Princess.

In the movie, Princess’s underage foster daughter named ‘Iyabo’ is portrayed as Baba ljesha’s lover, while Baba ljesha is seen as a victim of a set up orchestrated by Princess.

The lyabo character is portrayed first as a young child from a dysfunctional home, and later a young woman in a consenting sexual relationship with Lanre (Baba ljesha).

Furthermore, the characters in the film take on the real names of the individuals involved in the case including actress, lyabo Ojo whom the story seemingly centers around.

The movie stars veteran actors Adewale Elesho and Lola Idije, and other popular actors.

Fabiyi’s new movie comes as no surprise as the actor had since promised to make a movie of Baba ljesha’s ordeal and lyabo Ojo’s involvement.

However, actor Yomi Fabiyi has been called out by some Nigerians on social media for making a movie with Baba Ijesha’s rape saga and using real names of those involved in the case.

He was also accused of making it look like the minor had an affair with Baba Ijesha.
