You can earn N132bn exporting these 15 agric products

Are you considering how to participate in the booming dollar generating export trade? If your is answer yes, you need to consider one of these agricultural products that generated N132bn for  Nigerian exporters in the fourth quarter of last year. 

Top on the list is Good fermented cocoa which generated N58.22 billion during the quarter, followed by ’Sesamum seeds, whether or not broken’’ which generated  N40.72 billion, and Superior quality raw cocoa beans which generated N14.62 billion.

And where can you export these products to?

The National  Bureau of Statistics, NBS, in its “Foreign Trade in Goods Statistics Q4’2021, explained: “During the quarter, most agricultural products were exported to Europe (valued at ₦68.20 billion) and Asia (valued at ₦55.74 billion).

“By direction of trade, “Good fermented cocoa beans” worth ₦25.21 billion was exported to The Netherlands and ₦10.71 billion to Germany. Furthermore, sesamum seeds worth ₦18.52 billion and ₦6.47 billion were exported to China and Japan respectively followed by Superior quality raw cocoa beans worth ₦8.78 billion was exported to The Netherlands and ₦4.05 billion to Germany.”
